Reiki is ideal for animals because of its gentle, non-invasive nature. It doesn't cause stress, discomfort, or pain, yet yields powerful results. Animals respond intuitively to Reiki's power to heal emotional, behavioral, and physical illnesses and injuries. For animals that are healthy, Reiki helps to maintain their health, enhance relaxation, and provide an emotional sense of peace and contentment. For animals that are ill, Reiki is a wonderful healing method and safe compliment to Western Medicine, Chinese Medicine, homeopathy, and all other forms of healing. For example, Reiki can reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, support an acupuncture treatment, and enhance the effects of other therapies. For dying animals, Reiki is a powerful, gentle way to provide comfort, relief from pain, fear, and anxiety, and to ease the transition to death. What to expect during an Animal Reiki Session: Kathi will sit quietly with your pet or animal and creating a healing space through meditation and breathing techniques. She will gauge the animals behavior and either provide a hands on or hands off Reiki session, whichever is most comfortable for the animal. The animal is free to receive the energy in their own time and in their own way. Often animals will sense the energy and want to be touched and feel the benefits of Reiki.
